I often hear students say that they are not good at math. What does this mean? I don’t hear students, say: “I can’t read!” Yet expressing ignorance about basic mathematics is acceptable in today’s super-technological society. How can this be! The repercussions of deciding not to study mathematics at the university are substantial. Many of the high-paying careers are simply not available without serious mathematical preparation.

All the events during Hispanic Heritage Month at STC are free and open to the public.

The STC Pecan Campus Library Rainbow Room is located in building F at 3201 West Pecan Boulevard in McAllen, Texas. The Mid-Valley Campus Auditorium is located at 400 N. Border in Weslaco.
