The Department of Development Services was established to centralize all development-related services into a single department that is located on the first floor of City Hall (1300 Houston Ave.). For more information, call 956.681.1000.
The City Commission identified a successful "One-Stop Shop" Development Center as a community priority. The Development Services Department is responsible for all planning, development and permitting activities in McAllen. The department is organized into a single business unit, consisting of Planning, Engineering, Permits & Inspections, Public Utility, Health Services, Fire, and Parks & Recreation.
