Administrative Support Division

Purchasing:

The purchasing department handles purchasing related to day-to-day office supplies and purchase of larger equipment such as fire trucks and other apparatus.

Planning:

The planning division of the McAllen Fire Department works on various projects to improve and sustain the department. A plan is currently in the works for a training center at 29th and Oxford. The new building will have state of the art features such as “live burn rooms” which will enable firefighters to train in controlled live burns with natural gas.

Maintenance:

The Administrative Support division is also in charge of maintaining fire trucks and other equipment. The fire truck fleet is constantly maintained and there are reserve trucks in service in the event of an emergency.
