Concert Under The Stars
Famed Texas cross culture musician Tish Hinojosa entertained a large crowd at the first Concert Under the Stars at Quinta Mazatlan on June 11th.
Hinojosa has been a big influence on the Texas music scene for the past twenty years. She performed songs from her newest CD "Our Little Planet" from her children’s CD "Cada Nino-Every Child" as well as favorites from her entire career.
Quinta Mazatlan will have special events every Thursday evening over the summer. Scheduled are visits from animals from the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville,
a scavenger hunt, the world of birds, the world of bats and more.
Quinta is the McAllen wing of the World Birding Center. It features nature exhibits, walking trails and world class bird watching. The center is open Tuesday - Saturday from 8AM to 5PM. Thursday nights the center stays open until dark for family events.
To get to Quinta Mazatlan drive south on 10th street. Turn East on Sunset Ave. Proceed straight to the Quinta Mazatlan gates and parking lot.
