Police Need Help Identifying Suspects In Hit & Run Fatality
McAllen police need your help identifying as many as 6 suspects and 3 separate vehicles responsible for causing an accident that claimed the life of a 20 year old Mission man, along Expressway 83, early Sunday morning.
It happened at approximately 1:26 am.
According to McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez, Julio Cesar Lacayo's vehicle stalled on the 2400 block of west Expressway 83. He had called a friend and a tow truck for assistance. As he was standing on the shoulder of the Expressway, he was pinned between two vehicles after an out of control truck struck his parked vehicle.
Chief Rodriguez said a dark colored truck, carrying two passengers, lost control after racing with a light colored truck, with one passenger. None of the occupants in either truck stopped to render aid and neither did three females following the two trucks in a convertible.
