“National Night Out” is a unique, nationwide crime, drug and violence prevention program that is held yearly on the first Tuesday in August. National Night Out is a good opportunity to meet your police officers who patrol your neighborhoods and streets.

Everyone can make a difference in fighting crime,” said Chief Victor Rodriguez, McAllen Police Department. At the same time, citizens can take advantage and ask law enforcement officers questions concerning Police Community Partnerships, Neighborhood Safety Programs, Crime Prevention Awareness and Neighborhood Cooperation Campaigns which are important themes of National Night Out.”

There will be lots of fun and entertainment such as music, folkloric dancers, and law enforcement presentations.
