The Ware Road project, from 3 Mile to 5 Mile, is under development by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The project is currently scheduled to let in January 2016 for an estimated $12.63M. The project is being funded by federal funds at 92 % or $11.63M with a local match of 8% or $1M. The project is being developed in conjunction with Hidalgo County Precinct 4, who is also providing funding for project development. TxDOT will be responsible for design and management of construction.
