The City of McAllen would like to advise motorists and residents to be aware that the Traffic Operations Department will be closing down street lanes due to the Inaugural McAllen Marathon Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 6:00 am to 2:00 pm at the following locations listed below. (see maps attached) Motorists are advised to drive cautiously because of hundreds of marathoners running through the city streets for the Inaugural McAllen Marathon.
The location, date and time is as follows:
LOCATIONS:
- 34th from Primrose to Buddy Owens
- Buddy Owens from Ware to 23rd
- Bicentennial from Nolana to Trenton
- Dove from 23rd to 10th
- Northgate from 10th to 2nd
- Houston from 14th to 13th
- Single lane closures
- 2nd
- Bicentennial
- 10th
- 29th
- Dove
- Bales
- Houston
- Freddy Gonzalez
- Zinnia
- 6th
- Violet
- 11th

TIME: 6:00 am – 2:00PM
REASON: McAllen Marathon.
