The City of McAllen is hosting the 12th Annual Christmas for Kids, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. Approximately 3,000 children are expected from the McAllen area to attend the toy give away. The event will be at McAllen Public Safety Building located at 1601 N. Bicentennial Blvd. The McAllen Police Department started this project in 2002 to bring smiles to children in the McAllen area.
The Parade of Characters that will start at Las Palmas Community Center at 25th and Quince Ave. The parade route is on Quince Ave. from 25th Street and travel east to Bicentennial Blvd.
The Parade of Characters kicks off the event at 8:30 a.m. Santa arrives and greets the children. The Renaissance Rockers will entertain the crowd after the parade. #mcallenx4k
