After reviewing the attendance numbers from two different experts from New York and New Orleans, McAllen city officials believe the number of people who attended the McAllen Holiday Parade was more than 200 thousand. The parade experts were on site to provide the city feedback for next year.
City officials were hoping for a large crowd but the enthusiasm and support from the entire region surpassed our goal. We are happy to report all the planning for the parade, security, and traffic control worked as planned. There is always room for improvement and city officials are meeting to discuss ways to improve the McAllen Holiday Parade next year.
