JULY 4TH PARKING PERMIT SALE

The City of McAllen will be selling permits to the public to park at the McAllen High School parking lot located north of the stadium. Permits will allow the public to park in the designated lot and walk to Municipal Park to view the fireworks.

 

Parking permits are available for $10 each. Purchases limited to 4 permits per person. Parking permit sales are not eligible for refunds or discounts.

 

Parks and Recreation will be selling parking permits to the public beginning on Tuesday, June 23 at the following locations during regular business hours:

·         Palm View Community Center – 3401 Jordan Road               8:00 am – 8:00 pm

·         Las Palmas Community Center – 1921 N. 25th Street             8:00 am – 7:00 pm

·         Lark Community Center – 2601 Lark Avenue                            8:00 am – 8:00 pm

·         Parks and Recreation Administration – 1000 S. Ware Rd.    8:00 am – 5:00 pm

 

Forms of payment accepted include: Cash, Check, Visa & Mastercard

 

FAQ:

LOCATION: McAllen High School (2021 La Vista Ave). Enter the parking lot at the designated entrance located along Bicentennial Blvd. between La Vista & Tamarack.

 

TIME:  Lot will open for parking from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. The area will be closed to all traffic (vehicles and pedestrians) from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm (approximately). Lot will reopen upon approval from the Fire Marshal after the fireworks display is complete.

 

Tailgating in the parking lot is not allowed. 

Restroom facilities are available at Municipal Park.

 

Outside food & beverages are allowed in the park. No glass containers are permitted.

 

Food trucks will open inside Municipal Park.

 

The public is invited to bring chairs and blankets to the park.

 

The City of McAllen and the McAllen Independent School district are not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles or contents on the premises.
