McAllen- Effective immediately, tractor trailers are being asked to avoid the construction area on Bicentennial Boulevard from La Vista to Harvey Avenue through Aug. 12.
The narrowing of the roadways is making it challenging for truck traffic to get through.
Crews reduced Bicentennial Blvd. to one lane in each direction to replace an existing sewer line.
Truck drivers are advised to use an alternate route to travel north or south of Bicentennial from Harvey to La Vista.
