City of McAllen Launches McAllen B-Cycle

by Public Information Office | Oct 19, 2015

McALLEN –
The City of McAllen will host an event on Tuesday Oct. 20 to launch McAllen’s own Bike Sharing Program, McAllen B-Cycle.

McAllen B-Cycle, funded in part by a Federal Transit Administration Grant, will provide citizens the ability to rent B-Cycles throughout McAllen at any of the eight stations located throughout the City.  The program is the first bike-sharing system to launch in South Texas, and mirrors programs such as those in cities like Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth, Houston, and El Paso.

McAllen B-Cycle adds a new mobility option for users and promotes a healthy and active lifestyle, as well as provides a leisurely activity that can be enjoyed with friends and family.
