McAllen- The City of McAllen Public Works has unveiled a new waste app that makes it easier for McAllen residents to stay connected to their waste management services and programs.
Residents can now sign up for weekly reminders of their garbage bin and recycling bin collection day, brush debris pick-up schedule, any changes in their waste service, as well as upcoming public outreach events.
Weekly collection reminders can be set up automatically by email, voicemail, and text. Registration for the community is simple, visit www.mcallenpublicworks.net to sign up under the My Schedule icon or download the free mobile app by searching McAllen Public Works.
In addition to weekly reminders, the app provides a reference tool and recycling game.
