The Texas Department of Transportation is advising motorists of possible traffic interruptions and delays along IH-2 from McColl Rd. through Ware Rd, next week, beginning on Monday, February 16 through Friday, February 21, 2020.
The TXDOT contractor will be removing a temporary concrete barrier which will result in a reduction of lanes. The following roadways will be affected:
- IH-2 westbound main lane from McColl Rd. through Ware Rd.
- IH-2 eastbound main lane from 10th St. through Ware Rd.
- IH-2 westbound frontage roads from 16th St. through Bicentennial Blvd.
Below are the dates and times of the closures along the roadways:
- Sunday, Feb. 16 from 9:00 p.m. through Monday, Feb. 17 5:00 a.m.
IH-2 westbound main lanes reduced to one lane; eastbound main lanes
reduced to two lanes.
- Monday, Feb. 17 from 9:00 p.m. through Tuesday, Feb. 18 5:00 a.m.
IH-2 westbound main lanes reduced to one lane; eastbound main lanes
reduced to two lanes.
- Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 9:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.
IH-2 westbound frontage road will be reduced to one lane from 16th St. to
Bicentennial Blvd.
- Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 9:00 p.m. through Wednesday, Feb. 19 5:00 a.m.
IH-2 westbound main lanes reduced to one lane; eastbound main lanes
reduced to two lanes.
- Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 9:00 p.m. through Thursday Feb. 20 5:00 a.m.
Westbound main lanes will be closed from McColl Rd. to Ware Rd.; U.S. Bus. 83, McColl Rd., 10th St. and Bicentennial Blvd. entrance ramps will be closed.
- Thursday Feb. 20 from 9:00 p.m. through Friday Feb. 21 5:00 a.m.
Eastbound main lanes reduced to two lanes.
- Thursday, Feb. 20 from 11:00 p.m. through Friday, Feb. 21 11:00 a.m. Westbound frontage road closed from 16th St to Bicentennial Blvd.
