Park Related Sites

Overview

The Parks Division of the McAllen Parks and Recreation Department maintains park related sites located throughout the city. These sites cater to popular pastimes such as bicycling and enjoying the beauty of the Rio Grande Valley.

2nd Street Hike & Bike Trail
A 2 1/3 Mile paved exercise trail that travels north on Second Street between Business 83 and Nolana Avenue
Bicentennial Boulevard Esplanade
Business 83
This esplanade follows Bicentennial Boulevard from Business 83 to Expressway 83. Along the sidewalk path, you can find a number of park benches for relaxing

Bicycle Motocross Park
400 Tamarack - 4 acres
Four acres for the daring young individuals who enjoy the thrill of flying over hills and skidding around corners. Designed like a motorcross track for BMX bicycles
McAllen Nature Center
4104 W. Business Highway 83 - 15 acres
Fifteen acres of beauty displaying a vast array of plant families indigenous as well as adaptive to the Valley area
Motocross Park
South 10th Street
Located in the floodway between the levees on South 10th Street, this park is great for the motorcycle enthusiast.
Quinta Mazatlan
