Overview
The Recreation Division of the McAllen Parks and Recreation Department designs and implements comprehensive recreation programs for residents of all ages. Programs are offered year-round, with the busiest season being summer. The Recreation Division works with local organizations to ensure that our residents recreational needs are met.
McFUN RECREATION GUIDE
The McFUN Recreation Activity Guide is packed full of programs, classes and events! Guides are distributed each spring, summer and fall. Pick one up at any community center, city hall, main and branch libraries or parks and recreation office.

McPLAY AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
In cooperation with the McAllen Independent School District, McAllen Parks and Recreation provides after-school recreation programs at various elementary schools throughout the city. This program is offered from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on school days.
