The City of McAllen offers its residents brush collection. The Brush collection is every four to six weeks. The area being cleaned is reported weekly in the newspaper, "The Monitor." Residents are asked to place brush/tree limbs in the alley, if residents do not have an alley they are asked to place it by the curbside.

As an alternative to waiting for the brush crew and to offer residents a way to plan ahead the city has three large containers called "roll-offs" available to residents who are ready to cut and/or trim trees. Roll-off containers are issued on a "first call, first serve" basis. They are free of charge and available only on weekends. They are placed on Friday and picked-up on Monday. Interested residents are encouraged to call our Public Works office at (956) 681-4000 for information.
