Early Voting to Begin for Dist. 1 Special Election Run-Off

McAllen–  The City of McAllen is holding a run-off special election for registered voter residents of McAllen City Commission District 1 on Saturday, March 3, 2018, to fill the unexpired term of District 1 Commissioner Richard Cortez who resigned to run for another office.   Early Voting for this office begins Wednesday, February 14, 2018 through Tuesday,February 27, 2018.  

 

Early voting by personal appearance will be held at the following three locations:

  • Fireman’s Pump House - 201 North 1st Street
  • Palm View Community Center - 3401 Jordan Avenue
  • Lark Community Center - 2601 Lark Avenue

 

The schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, February 14           7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Thursday, February 15             8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Friday, February 16                  8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Monday, February 19                8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Tuesday, February20                7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Wednesday, February 21          7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Thursday, February 22              7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Friday, February 23                  7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Saturday, February 24              7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Monday, February 26                7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Tuesday, February 27               7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

 

Election Day will take place Saturday, March 3 from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the following polling location:

District 1

Gonzalez Elementary

201 Martin Avenue

 

Applications for a ballot by mail for the City Election shall be mailed to:

Perla Lara, Early Voting Clerk, P.O. Box 220, McAllen, TX 78505-0220

 

Said applications must be received no later than the close of business on February 20, 2018.
