Citizen Police Academy
The Citizens’ Police Academy is an annual program designed to provide citizens with a basic understanding of McAllen Police Department operations. The academy will be offered once a year and will consist of one evening class per week for a total of 10 weeks. Class Sessions Include
- Police firearms orientation
- Juvenile law and procedures
- Patrol procedures
- Police ride-along
- Additional areas of police instruction and familiarization
