Champion Lakes Golf
The City of McAllen Public Works Department, in collaboration with the City of McAllen Engineering Departments and Golf Course Departments, successfully funded, designed and constructed a new additional parking lot at the Champion Lakes Golf Course. The 35,000 sq. ft. project consisted of a design that would allow for an additional 58 spaces of parking area and improved storm water drainage at the golf course facility. The Public Works Streets Maintenance and Sidewalk Divisions spearheaded the construction, which included the installation of new infrastructure for optimum drainage, compaction of new road base material and placement of new asphalt pavement.
