Palm Valley Animal Society and McAllen  
                       
                         The City of McAllen has partnered with the Palm Valley Animal  Society (PVAS) to build a new animal shelter on Trenton Road in Edinburg. The  McAllen City Commission approved $820,000 for the design and planning of the  facility during a recent meeting. The shelter replaced PVAS's current location  and is a result of ongoing collaboration between the city and the nonprofit.  The partnership aims to enhance animal care and services in the region.
