Overview
The Building Permits & Inspections Department plays a key role in the Development Process by providing quality customer services and effectively protecting the health, safety and public welfare of the community. The Building Permits & Inspections Department is comprised of three divisions, plan review, permitting and inspections.
In addition to protecting the health, safety, and public welfare through regulation of construction in the City of McAllen, the Department seeks to provide an efficient and effective permitting and inspections process that supports City growth and economic development.
