A Federal Disaster Declaration has been approved for McAllen, Texas for the flood disaster of March 26th-28th, 2025. Residents can apply for FEMA disaster assistance online at disasterassistance.gov or by calling 800-621-3362.
Residents can apply for assistance for expenses such as temporary housing, emergency home repairs, uninsured and underinsured personal property losses, disaster legal services, disaster unemployment assistance, medical, dental, and funeral expenses caused by this disaster. The U.S. Small Business Administration is also accepting low interest loan disaster assistance applications from individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations affected by this disaster. The City of McAllen is opening a Disaster Recovery Center on Friday, May 30th, 2025 at Las Palmas Community Center 1921 N 25th Street McAllen, Texas where eligible residents can apply for disaster relief assistance in person. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
