Recycle your Christmas tree and be green

The beginning of the New Year is a great time to remember our 3 R’s – reduce, reuse, recycle and what a perfect time to start by recycling our Christmas tree!  Christmas trees can be dropped off at two locations: Recycling Center - 4101 N. Bentsen Road   and Compost Facility - 15201 Rooth Road (N. 29th) Street.

 

The City of McAllen Recycling Center accepts paper, plastic, aluminum, tin, glass, cardboard but, residents can also bring in their electronics such as laptops, computers, cell phones, radios, TV’s, printers.

 

The Recycling Center hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm.
