The City of McAllen’s annual litter clean-up of gigantic proportions is set for April 5, 2014. This Saturday, Keep McAllen Beautiful will host the Great American Clean-Up (GAC) in conjunction with Keep America Beautiful and Keep Texas Beautiful.

The GAC is a yearly community effort to banish litter and trash from city parks, schools, streets and sidewalks.  More than 1,400 volunteers from across the Rio Grande Valley have already registered for the event that packs up and bags tons of trash to remove it from public spaces.
