Celebrate Independence Day with McAllen

McALLEN - It’s time for the spectacular Independence Day celebration in the City of McAllen! The excitement kicks off at 8 a.m. Saturday with the Patriotic Program in Archer Park and the 9 a.m. July 4th Parade on Main Street.

 

This year’s celebration will feature many activities residents have grown to love plus new displays and activities are sure to please a new generation. Residents can celebrate nearly all day beginning with the Patriotic Program and parade in the morning, Freedom Festival at midday and then the Concert in the Sky Fireworks at night.

 

The schedule of July 4th events in McAllen:

 

  • 8 a.m. Patriotic Program - Archer Park Review Stand. Archer Park, 100 North Main
  • 9 a.m. Parade - Main St. in Downtown McAllen. Begins at City Hall. Ends at Archer Park.
  • 10 a.m. Freedom Festival - Archer Park. Games, food trucks, live music and more
  • 11 a.m. Hot Dog Eating Contest- Archer Park Gazebo.
  • 9 p.m. Concert in the Sky presented by H-E-B.
