TITLE VI
Metro McAllen is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in, or denied the benefits of its service, or otherwise subjected to discrimination, on the basis of race, color or national origin as protected by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended (“Title VI”). In addition, Metro McAllen prohibits discrimination based on sex, age or disability, as well as limited English proficiency.
Civil Right (Title VI) Complaint Procedures
Any person who believes that he or she may have been discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability or limited English proficiency may file a Title VI complaint with Metro McAllen within 180 days from the date of the alleged discrimination. Complaints may either be filed with Metro McAllen or with the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Filing a Complaint with Metro McAllen
Individuals and organizations may file a complaint by completing a Title VI Complaint form (located at bottom of page). Complaints may be submitted by mail to the following address:

Once a complaint is received, it will be assigned to a supervisor. In instances where additional information is needed the supervisor will contact the complainant by phone or in writing. Failure of the complainant to provide the requested information by the specified date may result in the administrative closure of the complaint or a delay in the complaint resolution.
Metro McAllen strives to investigate the complaints received within 90 days. Receipt of additional relevant information and/or simultaneous filing of complaint with Metro McAllen and an eternal entity may expand the timing of the complaint resolution.
